  • Aulani is the best resort on Oahu in my opinion. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, but still less than 20 miles from almost everything. The on-resort food and dining options are very good; and Aulani Luau is one of the best on the island.

About Aulani

Located on the quiet shores of Ko Olina, Oahu, Aulani provides an incredibly relaxing and serene getaway for adults, and numerous entertainment options for children and teens. The resort has arguably the nicest pools of any Disney resort and the rooms are only footsteps from the calm private beach. Outdoor activities include paddle-boarding; nightly movies; snorkeling; and the unique Supplied Air Snorkeling (SAS) aquatic experience at the resort’s saltwater Rainbow Reef.

Larger rooms (1-BR+) include a washer/dryer. Deluxe Studio residents have access to free laundry facilities.

Our take: Aulani is very fun and very relaxing. It is not overly crowded like much of Oahu, but is still fairly close to everything. The ambiance is distinctly authentic and laid back, and the food and on-resort activities rate among Disney’s best.
