If you have started shopping for a DVC rental, you have probably noticed that most of the search results come from the same handful of companies: David’s Vacation Club Rentals, DVC Rental Store, and us. They are all legitimate businesses and people book with them every day. The differences are in price, in how each company sources the points behind your reservation, and in what happens with your money along the way.
This is a plain comparison of how BookDVC stacks up against the other major DVC rental brokers. Everything below comes from each company’s own published pricing and policy pages as of September 2026. Prices change, so please double check the current rate on their sites before you decide.
The short version
BookDVC charges $20.00 to $23.50 per point depending on when you book. David’s charges $22.00 to $29.00 per point depending on the resort. DVC Rental Store does not publish a flat per point rate and quotes each trip individually, with prices usually comparable to David’s. As the low-price option, BookDVC will beat any advertised price on an available DVC reservation.
On a typical 150 point week, that spread works out to a few hundred dollars, and on a premium resort booked far in advance it can be closer to a thousand.

A quick example. A 7 night studio at Disney’s Polynesian Villas in early December runs roughly 150 points. Booked 8 months out, that is $3,525 at BookDVC and $4,350 at David’s. Same room, same resort, same Disney reservation. DVC Rental Store would quote that trip individually, so please run it through their tool and compare.

Where the points come from
This is the part most people do not think about until something goes wrong.
David’s and DVC Rental Store are marketplaces. They work with hundreds or thousands of independent DVC owners. When you book, you are matched with one of them, that owner makes the reservation in their own account, and the broker sits in the middle. The vast majority of those owners are great, and both companies have policies in place for the rare times one is not.
BookDVC runs a closed system. Most of our reservations are made on points we own ourselves. When we do use an outside owner’s points, it is one of a small group of long time, large point owners with established rental histories. As a result, we have never had an owner cancellation across thousands of reservations, and we can usually confirm availability within an hour or two.
Deposits and when you pay
BookDVC asks for a $79 refundable deposit, then the balance within 24 hours of your confirmation. If we cannot get the room, the $79 comes back to you.
David’s works about the same way with a $105 refundable deposit and the balance due within 24 hours of confirmation.
DVC Rental Store takes 25% down and collects the rest later.
Which broker should you use?
If you want the lowest price and the most predictable reservation, we think BookDVC is the best fit, and the numbers above are the reason.
If you want to browse a big inventory of confirmed reservations that individual owners are trying to unload, David’s and DVC Rental Store both have large listings and are worth a look.
Whoever you choose, please make sure you are working with an established company, get the confirmation number in writing, and confirm the reservation shows up under your name on the My Disney Experience app before you travel.
